Between the T7250 and the T8100. Will either one of the cpu's be more upgradeable later on in the future if it's even possible to upgrade CPU's on this laptop? I believe the T8100 uses the new Penyrn (sp) chip?

Vostro 1700 is a Santa Rosa platform laptop and accepts the Socket P processors. So, you can upgrade with any Socket P processor (including Penryn) as long as the latest BIOS supports it. I think T8100 will be only slightly faster than T7250 due to 1MB extra L2 cache and 100MHz frequency. If there is no difference in the price, I would choose T8100 but I would not pay more than $50 difference for T8100.
