Well, I ordered an Inspiron 1720, but It seems like Ill be getting Vostro 1700... Due to some weird misinformation, heh. Should I stick to it, or rather send it back and get an Inspiron 1720 ? What are the major differences other than the colour? To be honest I wanted to get a sticker for inspiron, and now I wont be able to, since it will look ugly on vostro :(
PS: I will be getting "next day support" on Vostro, compared to the normal warranty.

See what the screen looks like first.
If it has a nice screen, keep it.

You know, Vostro is cheaper than Inspiron. like, wayy cheaper. so if you are keeping vostro dell is ripping you off. Send it back, or demand for partial money back.

The two computers are virtually identical. They mainly vary in their configuration and support options.

Because Dell screwed up the order, you have an opportunity to make a totally painless return.

Clearly, an important question for you is whether you got the options you asked for when you put in your order. It's also worthwhile examining the state of the screen and everything else about the computer and its operation.

If everything is perfect, you may want to keep it. If not, you may want to return it and try the lottery on a replacement.

How about I keep it and get a replacement, then send it back ? Is there such an option?

Talk to them, they sometimes do this.
