I'm in the process of building a Vostro 1700 with the $500 off $1299 coupon. My question relates to the screen and video card. I know for sure I want the 8600M GT video card. With that video card which screen would I be better off getting,

17.0 inch Wide Screen XGA LCD Anti-Glare Display [Included in Price]
17.0 inch Wide Screen XGA+ LCD Display with TrueLife™ add $0
17.0 in Wide Screen WUXGA LCD Display with TrueLife™ [add $150]

The system will be used a lot for gaming, particulary LOTRO. I'm not sure what the native resolutions are for each screen listed above.

1440x900 for the first 2 and 1920x1200 for the last. I chose WUXGA and love it, but Im not sure as to what the requirements are for your game. All I know is multitasking is sweet, I no longer need to dual screen and gaming is great (WoW and RTS games.

I believe the middle option is 1440x900 and the highest is 1920x1200. Stressful games would be almost impossible to run on WUXGA so I definitely wouldn't get that screen if you mostly have gaming plans in mind.

Yeah I remeber getting a % type rebate, because I saw a 1900ish number when placing the order. I will give them a call and see what they can do.
