    Vostro 3400 or Studio 15

    My Vostro 1400 died from the Nvida 8400 plague and now I am in the hunt for new laptop.

    I am looking for a reasonablly priced funtional and productive laptop and the 2 I am able to narrow down are Vostro 3400 and Studio 15.

    I can have very similar specs for the almsot the same price on both these laptops.

    My main requirements are I5 CPU and decent GPU and reliable.
    Both these come with these and can be had for under $800.

    How they stack up for me:
    PROS
    Vostro 3400
    - 14" screen

    Studi 1558
    - 1080p option

    CONS
    Vostro 3400
    - no 900P or 1080P
    - only 32 bit offered
    Studi 1558
    - 15.6 inch may be too large

    My main question is which has better buildquality. I am guessing Studio will have less heat.
    I had Vostro 1400 which I thought had decent quality
