    Hello,

I have a Vostro 1400 and sometimes when I close the lid, it does not automatically hibernate..

then when I re-open the lid, the screen does not come back on even though the computer is still running.. and I have to end up turning off and on the computer.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

It's likely one of two things.

1.) The "close/open sensor" is bad, or has a faulty connection.

2.) The screen connection itself is faulty.

In either case, it's time for Dell tech support.

I hope all goes well, let us know!
