anyone have problems with the lid on their Vostro 1500? When mine first came in, it made all sorts of squeaky and cracking noises when I triied to move it.

Now after a technician came and replaced the lid, its making similar when I try moving the screen. The hinges are still strong and the screen still feels sturdy.

How are the lids on the other Vostros? I want to know whether I should replace my lid, because these noises are starting to worry me

My lid make no noise. Its a 1400 so the hinges are likely different.

should I call Dell and ask for them to fix it or have them replace it? To me it seems like the laptop is breaking by the sound that it makes.

    What do you guys think?
