    Has anyone else encountered this?
I did a fresh install of vista, and now my media buttons seem to be mapped to more than just volume, mute, etc

for example, in bioshock, volume down lowers volume, but it also goes to the map menu
volume up does raise volume but it also goes to options menu

in CS Source, volume down makes me crouch, and volume up goes into the buy menu

Are there special drivers for these buttons to make them work properly?

Also, when I was testing my vostro with the factory install, when I changed volume there was an overlay at the bottom right of the screen that showed a meter of my volume moving up/down
How do I get that back? it no longer appears.

edit: Found out I need quickset for the volume bar. but I still don't want volume + to make me buy stuff in CS

    Thanks
