Can anyone tell me who is ODMing the new Vostro line? Is it a single ODM or multiple?

ie: Compal has been primarily responsible for the Inspiron line for quite some time.

I'm guessing they may be Quanta's, but I would like to know.

Let's get this question answered once and for all!! :)

That crossed my mind too, but ASUS ODMs rarely end up below $1000... this would be sort of a big step. Then again, there have been rumors of a large order to ASUS and ASUS being requested to shut down their own name manufacturing (or move it to a different brand name and have Foxconn ODM it... wtf). So it is a possibility.

    It's probably Compal or Quanta.

The m1330 is 'rumoured' to be ASUS but my money is on Quanta.

Nevermind. The Latitude line has long been Quanta.

Since this is a new small business line, my bet is on Compal.

ie, its the Inspirons for small business.

    (compal cheaper than quanta?)

Looks like its been confirmed the 1400/1420 is ASUS, there was a post earlier today that an owner seen here.

As for the others, the 1520/1720, I'm still betting my money on Quanta for the two, though I know at least one is made by Compal, or is co-manufactured by them since Compal/Quanta always made Dell notebooks, no reason to stop doing so.
