    Vostro Vista w/ External monitor...can't remember settings

    Anyone else having problems w/ vostro (vista) w/ external monitor?

    I always set it so Only the external monitor is on. But the laptop screen turns back on everytime I restart or put it to sleep.

    I have a XP dual boot on this...XP works fine and settings doesn't have to be change everytime

    I think you want to go to:

    vista orb thingy

    control panel

    type in task and then you should see administrative tools
    (thats just how i get to it u need administrative tools is the important thing here)

    then go to: Task Scheduler, task scheduler library (expand)
    Microsoft (expand), Windows (expand) and then find and click on Mobile PC, once here there is an option for TMM and this should be enabled.

    if this does not work im sorry but i think it should, only been using vista for about 4 days now!
