Ok Well I have tried everything. I have tried to slipstream the Dell drivers on the xp disk. I have tried to load them from a floppy. I have tried to install them once XP is installed. What am I missing? I even tried to install the drivers from the intel website but it says that my hardware is not supported or something. Sould I reinstall xp and leave the AHCI enabled and try and use the F6 thing? I have tried to do this when XP was already installed but i get a BSOD. Help!

So, first you need to load up a copy of nLite to integrate the drivers:

    http://www.nliteos.com/

Next, download the latest copy of the intel storage manager matrix thingie here:
    http://slickdeals.net/?sduid=241607...eid=R158601&formatcnt=1&libid=0&fileid=211963

    Extract it

next, run nlite http://www.nliteos.com/ and you’ll have to copy over your xp CD to a folder on your hard drive.

It’s going to ask you what you want to do. Make sure you at least select DRIVERS and BOOTABLE ISO.

When you get to the part to select to integrate drivers, click on insert, then single driver, then navigate to the “driver” folder that is within the path that you just specified above. Select iastore.inf and hit open. click on the first entry, hold shift, and click on the last (highlight all). Make sure you are using the TEXTMODE DRIVER - NOT regular pnp driver! It won’t work (BTDT!).

select next, start process, burn, and boot in RAID mode and it will run the installer!

if you have any problems... make sure you read this again 3 times and do exactly.
