I recalibrated my monitor using Adobe Gamma and saved the new profile. For awhile it worked ok, but now when I turn on the pc, the calibrated screen kicks in for only a few seconds at startup, and then it reverts back to the factory settings. The Vostro has a NVIDIA video card. I didn't know if that was somehow interfering with things. I thought I would try calibrating with the NVIDIA, but I can't see how you change the colors. Any thoughts or suggestions? I need this laptop calibrated for photo editing.

There's a screen you can get to in Nvidia properties that allows you to adjust brightness and gamma. You can choose red, green, blue, or all in a dropdown box, then adjust a slidebar. I don't have my laptop anymore so I can't tell you exactly how to get to it, but I think you can right-click the desktop and find Nvidia properties listed and find your way from there. There is also a place to save your profile in there somewhere.
