So I go on dell.ca and configure another Vostro 1700. I then get on dell chat and ask if there is anything specific I should avoid choosing to avoid shipping delays. He has me email him my cart so he can see my chosen configuration. Then he comes back and says "OK, are you choosing the white or the black, and do you want 15 or 17 inch".
WTF??? Vostro doesn't come in white, plus I told him 1700, plus I emailed him my cart showing the exact config I put together.
Are these guys retarded???

Funny, I used to work there, until they moved their support to india... They had good support while it was here in the states....

They make a lot of mistakes, the guy probably thought you were ordering an Inspiron the whole time and secretly thought you were dumb calling it Vostro.
I ordered a 1400 x 1050 display for my Vostro with the rep on the phone. Turns out they don't quite make that display -
But now I kinda wish they would. -
