Just got the Vostro. Love it, has been everything I've expected. Only problem is that when I try to move the screen say back and forth, it makes this kind of crack noise. I know it seems minor, but if this kind of problem exists now, it can only degenerate over time.

I wanted to know if anyone else with a vostro 1500 is experiencing this as well. Also, I used my friend's Vostro, and his screen hinges were super quiet when moving the screen. But when I move mine it makes an initial crack noise and then goes away.

    Should I call Dell?

I don't have a Vostro but if your friend's doesn't have that noise, yours could be faulty. Phone Dell before youre warranty expires.
