    Vostros-Battery life

    Hi, I choose between Vostro 1500 with GeForce 8600M GT and Vostro 1400 with integrated GMA X3100. Is there a big difference in battery life of these two models? Thanks

    Im not sure about the integrated graphics battery life, but I get about 3-4 hours on avg when only surfing the internet and maybe music. While playing Counter Strike Source extensivly I get about an hour and a half. I|I have the 8600GT with 2gigs of ram.

    not that much of a difference on battery life, but massive difference on how crappy your laptops gonna be. doesnt matter if ur gonna play games or not on it, GMA cards are worthless

    And what about watching movies? Gaming isn´t important for me.Do you have 6cell or 9cell battery?

    I have a 9 cell, I wasnt even offered a 6 cell, it just came with a 9cell. I dont really watch movies on it so I really couldn't tell you the battery life on that, sorry.

    i have a vostro 1500 with 8600gt and if i turn the brightness all the way down from full charge just surfing with wireless etc you can get 8 hours. however i prefer 60%screen brightness which againwith wireless and surfing will do about 5 hours.

    nope, ive only tried watching one dvd sincei got the laptop and all i can say is it looked very nice :) not sure about battery life though sorry
