    700m hands down.

Small and portable with plenty of power.

9300 is the way to go! All I can say is power, power, and power. Great desktop replacement!

i9300, it wins the power game and is still able to carry around. In my opinion, it is the best laptop around, and a great deal with the 40% off coupons

I'd have to agree with SouthernGirl on this one. I like my 6000 but it's about the largest notebook I'd want to carry around. The 700m is really nice but it's a bit too small for me. The 9300 from what I've read is really really nice, but it's a bit too large for me to carry around.

Yup, I agree as well, 6000 hands down - I have the 1.86 processor inserted and I plan on inserting a 7200rpm hard drive sometime next year, so in terms of portability vs power this is one of the best options. The options are too limited with the 700m as the screen is small and makes gaming and movie-watching horrible, but there's no way I could lug the 9300 back and forth to class, or to other houses, everyday. Too heavy, too big. Why would you want to move your desktop around all day, go for the 6000 =P

9300 all the way. Got power and not too heavy for a 17" laptop.

I had a 700m and returned it due to the keyboard. Bought a 6000 for the game-capabilities but returned it last week once i realized gaming on the road is something i'll never ever do. So now i repurchased the 700m since portability >>> games.

    My vote is 700m.

It's like comparing apples and oranges - these two machines are in totally different leagues there's no point in comparing them. If you want power for graphics and gaming, it's obviously the 9300/6000 that will destroy the 700m. If you want portability, then the 700m of course. Fill out the FAQ, perhaps there are other models we can suggest.

The 9300 because i dont really travel and it is a very good desktop replacement. And like queshy said, the 9300/6000 would kill the 700m. in graphics and gaming :dell:

6000 for screen size, portability and battery life.

700m would have been my pick if it weren't for the keyboard.

9300 is a monstrocity to carry around.

Me.... Dont ask me. I would go for 700m. But remember its DELL... Please do not ever send the laptops back to DELL to rectify. Best would be to return or dispose them. But everything else is fine.

I am using 700m since Feb 2005. I think I love it more than myself. Its just an awesome piece of design and performance device. Runs great... unless you have some problems (said .. DELL). :)

No problems till now. I used Windows 98, 2000 Server, XP Home, XP Professional, 2003 Server, LongHorn (Beta), Fedora Core 2, Fedora Core 3, Enterprise Linux. Everything works fine.

700m is the best. Just go for it. And ya.. dont ever forget to take the Warranty activated if you buy a DELL.

Well returning a DELL... Be careful you just have 15 (F I F T E E N) days after the day you purchase, the date you have on your Bill Receipt and not the date you receive it by post.

DELL has lot of complex terms and conditions, but make sure you ask everything and make you nothing is fishy about the product you wanna buy if its a DELL.

That is incorrect. New Systems: You have 21 days from the date of your shipment (you'll see this on your packing slip). You have to pay for shipping costs, and generally it does take awhile to receive your credit. I'm not sure about Dell Outlet purchases.

It is a totaly satisfied return policy, so if you are not satisfied within your 21 day shipment, then you can return it with no hassle, supposedly.

If you need more info on the return policy, please check out the following link

usually i hear that 15 day return policies are at computer retail stores. "you must return computer/laptop within 15 days" or w/e. so for dell it is the 21 days.
