Well the M1530 is going to go on sale again (black) on wednesday. Does anybody think it will cost less than the Friday deal?

I don't think it will cost less because then they'd have tons of people who will want to change their prices....

BUT - it just might because got the 1st round of people who were willing to purchase it at friday's price on friday - but the 2nd round of people who refused to purchase it might just purchase it for a lower price and that maybe is what Dell is trying to do (cater to the market that way)....

    Any thoughts?

This sale isn't a sale really, still the same prices. (non of thier sales are real sales IMO, when they make a 599$ sale , they make the prices higher for that particular model than the one that has a 499$ sale. so in the end, you'll end up saving 10-50$.

I'll only buy this pieces of S**t, if the price is 1200-1300. With a T9300 + 4gig ram.

A warning to those considering the M1530, they aren't selling them with LG screens any more. I tried to minimise the chance of getting the grainy screen by getting the 1440 res monitor but apparently they all come with samsungs now and have stopped replacing the screens affected by graininess.

You are definitely wrong. I have a written agreement from a dell.com (US) salesman that they only give 1530's with LG screens and that there is not chance in the world that I'd be getting mine with something else.

Actually I think the sale Friday-Saturday was the best I've seen on the 1530 and I've been watching for a while. Yes, I finally pulled the trigger. The only thing that didn't work out were battery prices which are silly expensive so I didn't buy the extra battery. Otherwise I doubt the on wed. will be any better. If it is they'll get a call from me.

Friday's deal for the M1530 was absolutely the best so far and probably not likely to be repeated in the near future. Dell might be at the end of their fiscal quarter which is why they may have had these deals this week. I got $900 off with the $699 discount and 12% EPP discount on a loaded Penryn T9300, 4GB RAM, 256 8600GT Video, WSXGA+ screen, 8X DVD/RW, 200 GB 7200 rpm hard disk, Bluetooth, 3 yr warranty for $1,464 before tax. You can't even get it at the Dell Outlet for this price, assuming they even had one there.

You guys were right, Friday was the best deal. Today's is horrendous...don't even bother looking. I stayed up hoping for something decent but it looks like Dell isn't trying to sell any of these to undecided customers like myself. Me and the vostro will be holding strong for the time being
