On the Canada site you have to select the lower pre-configured model (the second from the left out of 4) and then you can upgrade it in the options. Probably similar wherever you are ordering from.

I bought mine through Dell’s Signature event sale to get my 620m. It’s now only available through Dell’s EPP right now…. but if you can go through military.com you can get it with a so-called EPP discount. Good through 04/30/2010

Eligibility: Active Duty, Veteran, Retiree, Reserve, National Guard, Government Employee, Military Families, Military.com Members
Here is the link to Dell’s EPP with military.com.

From there pick; Laptops & Minis> Ultimate Performance Laptops> XPS16 with the i5 520 (or 540) processor (on the right), then upgrade to the 620m. I just went there 5 minutes ago and it was there.

You may need to create an account with military.com to do this, I’m not sure because I am already a member.

    Good luck

EDIT: let me know how this works for you as I may create a new thread as a solution for others looking for it too.

I originally ordered mine through the signature deal, then when I re ordered over the phone on the 27th it was available...

So if you cant find it online, and you can get an EPP deal, try calling in.

I personally think it's a better choice than the quad i7's because of the lower power usage, and due to the higher clock speed.

I mean come on... the i7-820QM's max clock speed is 3.06GHZ and that's only when it's using a single core, the i7-620M can turbo BOTH cores to that speed, and turbo one to 3.33GHZ.

Yep, and the 620Ms are a lot cheaper than the 820QMs too. Price to performance just does not add up for me to warrant it.
