I just bought a new e1705 but when i go to start--> control panel--> system it says this:

    dell inspiron 9400
    genuine intel(R) CPU
    T2400 @ 1.83GHz
    1.83GHz, @.00GB of RAM

inspiron 9400 and e1705 (which the body of the lap says it is) are two different systems no?

E1705 is the US name for the Inspiron 9400, which is how it is named in Europe.

The E1705 and the 9400 are the exact same system. Even in the Dell outlet it shows it as E1705/9400. Everywhere but in the Dell U.S. Home section it is called the 9400 I believe.
