    WORST laptop ever made

    Have a Dell Inspiron, can't even begin to tell you how many times I almost threw it out the back door. I HATE this laptop. Sent it back for repair (monitor, jumping cursor) and they sent it back with the same problems and now I get script errors ALL the time. Monitor turns white, has to be readjusted every minute or so, and it may or may not work, sometimes I just have to close it. Would never, ever buy another.

    HP DV9000 with the nvidia 8600's is prob as bad or worse for being built.

    4 motherboards due to faulty 8600's, 3 lvds cables ( half of screen died ) 5 DC charge ports, 2 broken touchpads, 1 keyboard replacement... not sure what else.

    only reason it lives is my husbands IT company must have 50 or 60 dead ones to salvage parts from and it keeps him amused some nights to " ressurect the dead "

    my opinion get rid of the lemon and insist on a replacement.

    The only reason that I have not taken a hammer to this or thrown it out the back door is because my son bought it for me. Just got off the phone with Dell, sending another tech out (even though he was already out, couldn't repair it and it had to be sent out for repair, though when I got it back still not working). I spoke with a supervisor who told me if it isn't repaired this time they will send me a new one. We'll see...... :(

    I'd vote AMD DVx000 with Nvidia 8-Series as the worst laptops ever made. Inspirons 1525 and 1545 onward are pretty crappy, though.

    Buy a Latitude or a ThinkPad.

    never used one or saw one. all I can tell was it was old, i did see mention of the $5 LVDS cable breaking between motherboard and screen though, that would be an easy fix, even a full panel swap would be if it doesnt display lines to an external display.
