Dell gives an option for 2 remotes... what is the difference???
One is in the bluetooth category and the other is in the remote category.
Bluetooth category: ExpressCard Media Remote for Bluetooth-enabled Notebook
Accesories TV Tuner and Remote Category: Dell Travel Remote Control, IR

Travel one is basically the cheap one. You would have to face the IR port to use the remote while BT one can be used as far as signal can reach w/o facing the laptop. I think BT one is rechargeable.

oh i see, thank you.
-
the travel remote is the little flat one that goes inside the laptop express slot , and the other is a bigger normal size remote, so you could get both !
im gonna get the travel remote, for £10 its rude not to, il prob get the other aswell for use when laying in bed or on the sofa with the laptop plugged in to my big screen ! it should work good tho shouldnt it ? any idea how far the range is and where on a 1720 is the ir sensor ? -
There is a BT one that fits just like travel remote which I think he was comparing.
-
ahh ok, ive found it ...
so does it just come down to one being bluetooth and charges inside the laptop and one ir with a battery ? but both do exactly the same ? , the ir one has 1 more button than the other one ?
