So I orderd a Dell Inspiron 1525 and on the 20th I checked the status of my order online and it said that it was sent out for delivery by WWI.

I'm just wondering how reliable they are, and do they always send you an automated message before despatch?

Also, is there any chance I'll recieve this today or on Saturday, or am I holding out too much hope?

    Thanks in advance guys.

Heyyyy thank god a UK customer at last!!!!

I ordered mine on the 24th of august...I got a call from them the next day saying that they will deliver in 5-7 days. But then I called yesterday and the person said a dell only called so that they could verify that the car holder is using their card and it's not fraud...arghhhh!!! I was so looking forward to it...anyway he then told me my EDD is 17th september or before.

    Have you got it yet?

A family member ordered a 1525 in the UK on the 18th and it was delivered on the 26th. WWI were quite good, although they did call to say it would be there the day before it actually showed up.

To the OP - they also phone up to arrange delivery. Make sure you answer the call if you want to arrange when to get it delivered, otherwise it leaves a message. I ordered, well it's in my sig, and it arrived promptly. Then again, I didn't order anything fancy like a backlit keyboard or a different screen, and it went through the online stages pretty fast. If you get a WWI tracking form, it should say when the est. Delivery date is in the in the log.

My understanding is that WWI handle the bulk distribution certainly to Hinkley in Warwickshire and probably down to the major town level where they hand over the final distribution to other companies. Mine was delivered by Business Post.

    Hey,

cheers for the reply guys that made sense!

I ordered a black studio 15, and they guy said they black covers were not in tock atm and needed to be ordered, do u think thats because a lotof people stick withthe standard colour, so there is a higher demand for it? Also the person told me the laptops normally arrive a week before the estimates delivery date...i'm getting slightly annoyed with dell now, they're such a large company but their service is so slow.
