I already bought a I6000d with the WSXGA screen and am not going to switch, but I am curious if their is any difference in power consumption between the screens?

as far as i know, power consumption between different resolution LCDs is negligible. it's not the number of pixels that makes a difference, it's the level of backlighting that draws the most power.
i could be wrong. -
2 find out...u could always lower the resolution of ur screen...and see if the battery lasts longer that way...very easy to tell that way..unless there is no difference

The difference is little to none! And if there is a difference it won't be due to more or less pixels, it would be just because of design. As mentioned before the key factor in power consumption is the backlighting. The mechanism of aligning the crystal within an LCD cell/pixel consumes very little power ... That's why your average color LCD screen on a cellphone or IPOD doesn't eat that much battery as long as the back lighting is off!
Hope that answers! -
I dont think the power difference is going to make as big an impact as the difference these resolutions will have on your eyesight.
