I think I will take the WXGA+ (1440x900). Good choice or should I spend some money on the WSXGA+ (1680x1050)?

I've had the WSXGA+ on the 15" Vostro and I thought the writing was too small. I'm eyeing the m1530 now with WXGA+ screen. Personally I think 1440x900 is perfect for 15.4" screens - but everyone has their own preferences.

i was in doubt choosing WXGA+ OR WSXGA+. decided to go with WSXGA+ as i always need more desktop space :) it is a bit small but the screen i got is just amazing. contrast is great, very sharp and bright so it's no problem looking and working on it. it is a glossy screen so keep that in mind.

You have to see one for yourself before choosing. WSXGA may make things look too small for some (like me) but the screen space may be perfect and suitable for others (and they have pretty good eyesight, too).

I have to say, after comparing both side to side, the 1440x900 screen is noticeably brighter than the 1680x1050 screen. I'm used to the 1680x1050 resolution so I went with it anyway.
