What should prospective buyers do? There has been some hype about the Sonoma recently. For a budget laptop buyer, I don't see the Sonoma craze helping me. The 6000 configured to basic standards of a Dothan run a steep price right now. Am I better off waiting until the dust settles? I know the manufacturers will want to clean out their current stock of Dothans and Banias processors.

If you're on a budget, Sonoma is a waste of money.

    jherber,

Very good article. It is better for me to pass on the Sonoma. The initial impression seems to stick with the Dothan - For the sub $1500 budget, it's still a good value.
