Hi people, I ordered a new Dell Studio XPS 1340 last week and it shipped on the 20th. It seems they tried to call on the 20th twice, but I was out at the time. They phoned my mobile two hours later and I caught it and a computer asked if Wednesday (today) would be good for delivery, I said no so it asked if Thursday was good and again I said no because Friday would be the best day for me. It then said I would be put through to a person, I waited but I was never put through so I hung up.

I'm now unsure what to do, whether my laptop will still be delivered or if they'll wait til I get in touch with them. It says on my tracking site that a postcard was sent to me but I've not received anything:

23/02/09 12:26 WWI - HINCKLEY ORDER COMPLETE IN HUB.
23/02/09 12:26 WWI - HINCKLEY FIRST BOX SCANNED INTO HUB.
    23/02/09 08:33 PLAN COMMITTED NOTE.
    20/02/09 14:23 IVR-OUTBOUND POSTCARD SENT TO CUSTOMER.
    20/02/09 14:23 IVR-OUTBOUND PRE CALL - TRANSFERRED TO AGENT
    20/02/09 14:00 LODZ DEPARTED MANU.FACILITY
    20/02/09 12:16 IVR-OUTBOUND PRE CALL - NO ANSWER.
    20/02/09 10:10 IVR-OUTBOUND PRE CALL - NO ANSWER.
    20/02/09 08:52 CALL LOCK OUT.

    Anyone got any ideas?

EDIT: It says under ETA "Carrier will phone customer to arrange suitable delivery date ", but I imagine it's said that since before I got the phone call. Anyone know what's gonna happen?

Do you know who the carrier is? Can you contact them directly? Or, if not..call Dell and get the contact information?

    Cin ;) :)

Thanks Cin', I just looked up the Walsh Western site and found a contact number. I phoned it and the earliest delivery date they could offer was March 2nd, but I organised it for March 5th since someone will be in to collect it that day. I'll need to start a countdown now! :D
