Ok so i have the inspiron 1520 with core 2 duo 2.0ghz 2gb of ram and a 160gb hard drive

I will be upgrading the Ram to 4gb soon
and probably the HD to 500gb soon

but the question is what is the best graphics card that can replaces the 8400m GS that is in there now and how noticeable of a difference will it make?

Your 1520 can handle up to a Dell proprietary 8600M GT and it's a good replacement over the 8400M GS. You should see approximately 20% performance increase for the selected games you play.

ah, so the 8600m GT IS the best i can go to?
I was afraid of that, but if its 20% thats not all that bad.
