I live in Canada, but I want to buy a laptop from dell.com (not ca) because their prices are significantly cheaper, after all of the coupons.
Will Dell service my machine for warranty purposes if I'm in Canada?

I read through Dell's warranty info, go here for more info: http://www1.us.dell.com/content/top...en/policy?c=us&l=en&s=gen&~ck=lf&~section=010
I don't see anything about international services and they only explain the terms of US warranties. You can only get a US Dell if you have a US address, they will not ship to Canada.
Just a hunch I have but I don't think Dell will service a US product in Canada. If there is a international warranty then it will significantly increase the price of a warranty. Your best bet would be to call the US Dell number and ask a sales rep if they will service your purchase in Canada. -
You should be able to transfer the warranty. Click on the following link and it will give your more information.

I've known of cases similar to yours where they transferred warranty. I would contact Dell for more information because there is some complications to transfer warranty. If the warranty isn't covered, you could always get it covered by insurance thru your local provider.
Warranty - does it apply internationally?
