I've gotten my replacement laptop, a Vostro 1510 from Dell because of my many, MANY issues with my old Vostro 1400.
I have to send the 1400 back, as per the warranty.
But what exactly should I send back?
The laptop (ram/hdd included) and the powercord and battery what I should send back?
I don't have all the old paperwork anymore...

Usually you would send back whatever you originally got from Dell. If you are missing paperwork or restoration CDs or anything like that, I doubt they are going to throw a fit.
To put it another way, whatever they are sending you, you should send them. -
The only thing you have to include is the computer along with the AC Adapter, you dont have to include manuals or CDs. Once you get your exchange, you can send the old computer back, you have like 10 days to return the computer.

When in doubt contact dell and ask for specific instructions.
I've had them send replacement laptops that did not have all the necessary/equivalent components and accessories. If you have extra batteries or accessories that you purchased with your laptop make sure that they are aware of this.
PVD is correct, generally speaking you only need to return the AC adapter and laptop.
If dell has failed to include something or you're unhappy make sure you immediately follow up and be persistant. -
If I have replaced a part out of warranty on my old laptop, am I required to send the new item such as a disk drive with the laptop back to dell?
The disk drive was replaced by myself two weeks before the motherboard and video card crashed...
Thanks
