This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    This is what I have:
    1Yr Ltd Warranty, 1Yr Mail-In Service, and 1Yr HW Warranty Support

    I wanna to transfer my service to another country, anybody know how to do it? On the dell website there is a "service transfer form", finish it and submit?
    But I heard that if you want to transfer the warranty&service to another country, you'd have at least 3 years service, is that true? So maybe I have to spend more $ to purchase another 2 years service...

    Hmmm, we've transferred service to other owners, but never to another country. It doesn't sound like somthing you can do online, so it's going to take a call to Dell anyway.
