    Was dell on holiday sprit??? - Got my free CPU UPgrade!!!

    Happy new year to all.
    I received my M1530 yesterday, and couldn't help notice I received T5450 processor instead of T5250 I ordered. Got myself free $50 upgrade!!! I wonder if dell is running out of T5250?

    Extremely happy with mine have no flaws and the LG LPL0301 screen is perfect. Not even a spinning sound coming from DVD drive when watching movies. Only gripe is the crappy WD HD I received, I can hear random clicking sounds. :( I always had bad luck with WD HDs. It always died on me after few months of use.

    Someone else got a free upgrade too, he posted about it yesterday. Looks like Dell is in short supply of the lower end CPU.

    I am very surprised by the quality of this machine, it's on par with my precision (I think). Its a nice touch by Dell giving a free upgrade, not trying to save few bucks and delay. Every time I hear the clicking sound from WC WD1200BEVS-75USTO drive, eventhough it's not loud, it really bugging me. I don't know if I should call Dell for a swap or just keep this drive. I'll have to keep my ears on it for now.

    I definitely could use more RAM. Anybody know the best priced RAM other then Newegg? Newegg does have good price, but since I live in NJ, they apply the taxes. The price comes out to be similar or worse then other places, after tax and shipping.
