so it came out to $992?
sounds good to me
was it from dell outlet or purchased new? -
-
so how much did it come out too??
my e1505 i just ordered in my SIG...came out to 1600.00 w/ 25% off and 2yr warranty
and i thought i got a decent deal -
Including everything, it came out to $1234 CAD / $1055US.

sounds good to me
i think the price diff. w/ mines...was the cpu upgrade,ram upgrade,2warranty,9cell battery
so i dont feel like such a sucker anymore : / -
Yeah, I didn't have a very big budget so I just upgraded the video card, wireless and got 2gigs of ram. The processor seems to be the weakest part of this laptop but as long as it's better than my current one I'm happy.

yeah i like your config and the price u got it for...sounds real good IMO

For a newly configured system thats not bad at all, you can find much better deals in Dell outlet if you take your time, The M1210 in my sig came out a little cheaper than yours shipped. Bottom line, if you do your homework, find a system that meets or exceeds your needs/wants at a fair price that you can afford and are willing to pay, that right there is a green light to buy.
There will always be a better deal, if you meet the the above criteria, thats all that really matters, the longer you spend waiting, the longer you'll be without the machine you want.
The only thing I'd really consider an important change would be the battery, you'll want the 9 cell if you plan to use it on the go alot, if you plan to keep it anchored to an outlet for the bulk of your usage the 6 cell is more than adequate. -
I agree. Well Dell Canada doesn't have a Dell outlet so this seemed to be my best bet in this price range. About the battery, it'll be plugged in 99% of the time so I figured the 6 cell battery would be good enough.

Are you sure about that? There was fellow here a few months back that was posting about a scrwed up order from the Canadian version of the outlet, I think it was called "DFS Direct" if I have time tonight I'll try to dig through my old posts, I dont know if their policies are the same as they here or not. I wouldnt really worry about it, unless you find a "killer" deal and their warranty and return policies are equal to that of new orders as they are here.

I'm pretty sure, I might be wrong though.
