was either $850 or $950. Assuming is it a Sandisk and a fast one, WOW, that is a pretty forward thinking price. Looks like they dropped the 32GB very quickly, probably because HP did the same. I mean, who was ANYONE kidding with the 32GB? Not me!

Being as DVnation want $2-3000 for one, I figure Dell has a sweet price.

I am beginning to WANT one. I do not do huge file writing, so my daily use would be speed up like CRAZY.

Here come the Solid State Drives, LOOKOUT :)

I am watching. I just like the fact that the prices seem to be coming down ebven faster than one might have thought.

I was not even aware that they were offering 64GB formally yet. It is a very good sign. I remember when RAM was $50 per MEGA byte. And 4 megs was recommended. Damn, THAT was expensive :) Dave

The best way, right now, to get a SSD is in a new system where you have tactfully negotiated a price which would make up for the price of the SSD. It is being done.

To buy on the open market, good luck. The only reseller really is DVNation who doubles their price. Ebay has some Sandisk as well.

Look out though. Within a month I expect to have posted two different distributors that will be selling SSDs at better prices; negotiations are ongoing for this between the distributor and companies in US. I hope to be running articles reviewing these.

Yes, flamenko, this is what I like to hear. DVNATION is way way to high. I will be following your progress closely. I dream of Mtron class ssd's :)

I have the Mtron here...still unopened, but there is a ssd coming out shortly by Ridata will probably be the most accessible as they are just completing distributor negotiations right now. The end of this month will show many changes I think.
