Because of problems with it, Dell is going to replace it with a Dell Studio 1558. "Equivalent or better".

Hi dmtheblue, Based on the specifications I would say that this is pretty good replacement. The processor is significantly better, double the RAM and a larger HDD. Assuming they gave you Windows 7 rather than Vista I would say that you have done well. - JabbaHut

everything improves but the battery. I'd see if they'll ship you a different battery instead of waiting for a whole new machine. If they resist, and they will, insist that you need the portability and the 6-cell is short of what you need.
