We're waiting OR We're waiting!

Lots of good "We're waiting" or "We've received" threads going, but most seem to be model specific. Wanted to start a thread that encompasses all the new models recently released. Welcome all, to the wonderful world of Dell! This can be our "happy place" where support and inspiration can be found from the happy few who have received their orders and can reassure us that the wait is worth it.....A place where those waiting can go to regain their lost excitement from encouraging words of others .

How about "DONE WAITING"? After 3 delays and finally being told it was the color I ordered that was holding it up, I placed an order for Alpine White (which was in stock at that time) but by the time my order went through something else was backordered so another delay. Orig order placed on 7/6...backordered 3 times, re-ordered-backordered...my status never got passed IN PRODUCTION.
I guess I can thank Dell because it drew me to go MAC and never come BACK!

Im waiting...todays my b-day...back when I ordered it, I thought...man what a great birthday gift that would be to myself. Well....here I am.

Happy birthday anyways! Here's to hoping yours ships soon. Maybe one of the Dell builders will stop trolling through these forums and laughing now that he read your post ThursdayLE, and find some small amount of sympathy in his heart over what you've written. It MIGHT just inspire him to find your order and build it for you , but then you've got to convince someone to actually box and ship it...lol.

I ordered mine on the 1st of August hoping to get it by my birthday on the 18th... I guess that's not going to happen!

 

My Birthday is May 25. Hopefully, I'll see my new 1520 by then

Well, the received to waiting ratio is sickening. Perhaps we've been abandoned by our friends who have received.

 

I think its because all the people who have received their laptop have graduated from this subforum and are all talking about their sweet computers down below in the main dell forum! I think that all the people who have received their laptops don't really want to be around all of us, considering we're all upset, angry, and sad! Not to mention anxious and very whiny Okay, at least I'm whiny!

Now what I think is ridiculous is that most of us, if not all of us, who voted "waiting," have ESD for 8/28... I really hope we're not all still complaining about the wait when that date comes around!! or else you know w'ere in for more delays...grr
