    Weird "click" sound

    What does it mean when you hear a "click" sound but your browser is not open? I mean, you know when you are using your internet explorer browser and you "click" in a link, you hear a sound "click" when selecting that link. Ok I hear that "click" but my explorer browser is not running, why?
