My specs are in my sig.

    But anyway....

After installing the SigMatel driver for the sound, anytime I play a song, mainly mp3s, near the end of the song, it gets choppy for a second or two before returning to normal.

It happens during every song once it gets close to the end.

I've tried disabling all the enhancements, but it didn't work.

I did notice however, that BEFORE I installed the SigMatel driver, my audio was perfect...no song experienced the "choppiness."

Note that nothing else is affected by this. Only the songs I play in WMP experience the problem within the last 20 seconds or so.

I'm guessing driver issue? I've re-installed the driver 3 times now, no change.

Really? Hmm...because this happened to me in WMP with Sigmatel HD Audio and I disabled audio enhancements and it worked...maybe try rebooting??? Not sure...that's odd...try updating your driver.

your not alone...there are lots of threads like this. try the vista no lag program. i couldnt use it because i have a virtual machine installed and that wont be supported till its next release, but some people say it works for that.

The driver is the latest one. Atleast, the latest one posted on Dell's support site. Rebooting doesn't work.

What does that "No Lag Program" do?

Also, is there an updated driver for the SigMatel Audio that maybe isn't on Dell's support site?
