    Weird external speaker problem on S15

    I have a dell studio 15 and dell external speakers. When the laptop is plugged in, I hear a light buzzing sound from one speaker, when it is running on battery power, the noise goes away...any thoughts?

    Are u sure its from speaker? How about muting when on power and then seeing what happens??

    Your speaker is picking up interference from the power cable. You need to move the right hand speaker away from the power cable a little and the noise should go away.
