with the order change department. Im going to change my order to color that doesnt have a craxy wait time like the red had. Wish me luck!

You understand by changing your colour the order is resubmitted and you are now at the end of the line. If another issue then creates lead times (ie monitor) you now will have an extended time later, many times without being informed.

yes you may find yourself starting all over again from the start.. i changed mine and was assured it would not cause a delay but low and behold my ship date went three weeks out farther than before the change.. really stinks

According to Mr. Anderson, laptops are done randomnly. So she may be brought to the beginning of the line. Or the middle. It really depends on the kind of mood the Malaysia Assembly Team is in.

Actually red still has a delay. I was sent email yesterday that my ruby red 1520 is still delayed until 8/28.

If It went through Ill be getting a White one, what I origanally wanted but I guess Ill see....

I just got off of the phone and cancelled/re-ordered. I spoke to a sales rep to reorder and I feel so much better about my purchase now. I was at an 8/28 ship date and changed to a 1720 from a 1520 (saw one today and liked it better!) and changed lid color to yellow. My rep spoke directly to his manager who gave me a great deal (only 100 dollars more than the 1720) and expidited the order directly. I know that may be a bunch of bull but I still feel better anyway!!!

Oh yeah, and the rep said the quickest colors as of today were white, black and yellow. Just FYI.

Yay Im in the Boxing stage as of right now. But they put the wrong color on; I told the CSR White and she gave me black. Oh well at this point color is the last thing Im going to worry about. 'll keep you posted with the progress.
