    Well guys,

Dell csr called, my laptop would have been delayed until the 9th Sept. CPU lead time.

So told them to cancel it. Canna wait that long.

Have just gone and ordered a HP DV9574ea,

Same spec but with 2 x 200gb hdds, finger print reader, tv tuner and such.

I know the chassis wont be as solid but at least i will have it in 2 days time and that i know their not bad as i have its smaller brother dv6190eu already lol.

Been fun being part of the Dell "Hell" waiting game but canna wait any more

Oh yeah got 10% from hp so came to £899inc uk based.

Take it easy all and hope you get your toys soon :D

Datamonkey, are you sure your HP comes with an 8600 GT? Here in the U.S., HP very conspicously only offers the 8600 GS.

It must be this model. HP say "8600M without indicating either GS or GT.

All the best with your HP.

Post some comments on it, i'd be interested in something different than a Dell soon i guess.

    My Mistake guys,

It is the 8600m gs, not too worried though. Will be fine for playing wow, pirates of the burning sea and bf2 on :D

    Cloudhopper,

sure when i get it i will do a review and post it up.

I cannot find any reviews on it on the net at the moment.

Yeah, the HPs only use the 8600M with the 16 stream processors, not the 32 stream processors like the GT version in the Dell.

But its not all -that- much of a downgrade.

Same here Mike, but I cancelled my order at the end of July. Ordered a MacBook with 2.16 C2D and 2Gb RAM, was built in 3 days and received within 8 days.

    MB's are cool
