    Hey all
Well, after much frustration with my Green 1520, I got it a couple weeks ago and I love it.
Before it ws shipped they credited me back the $39.00 I payed for the 2nd day shipping, and overnighted it free of charge.
Now today I got my $75 credit I was promised due to the delay.
They actually credited my CC $81.19...must have added tax :)

I am back to being a Dell supporter

I was promised a $75 credit+$75 coupon after I called to cancel my order. After I got my 81.19 refund, I kept waiting for my $75 coupon, and when I called and asked when I would get the coupon they asked if I would rather have another $75 credit (which I accepted).
    Total refund= $162.38.
Total time to receive laptop after ordering= 7 business days
    Total satisfaction= ++rep to dell.

I can't believe how optimistic some people get. Dell ripped you off. First, the "free overnignt shipping" means ****. You delayed you so many times already how would a few days of shipping matter, plus they'll just push your build date then. Second, the 81.19 is more cow dung. The prices have dropped more than that while you were waiting. So, after the inflation, interest, price drops, Dell ended up getting even more money.

Anyways, that's why I cancelled the CSR said 5% off, I was like **** YOU *****. I can ****ing order the Jet Black version FOR CHEAPER and FASTER, so why the **** should I get the 5% off?

I'm planning on getting a Sager or Toshiba later this season. No offense to you in anyway, but I'm just pissed at Dell.

Oh yeah, I used more profanity in this comment than this whole month. Dell just pisses me off. But, have fun using your laptop anyways, while I'm ironically stuck with this ****ty DELL DIMENSION 3000!!! :( :(

P.S: Einhander "Mildew" Yellow. :) I think Yellow paint may not be the only cause of our delay, I think it might also be the 1920 x 1200 screen. Because I ordered that as well, and I see most people's orders have been the 1440 version not our 1920 version... :(

They actually did a little better for me than promised. They initially gave me next day shipping and a $100 coupon that I used on extra bags for my brother and father. Over the weekend they called to tell me that they had credited $108 to my account for the delay. Good deal.

    Wow, a bit bitter dude???
So bitter that your facts are all off LOL

Lets see...Yes, I waited 40 days for my machine..THEY DIDNT HAVE THE PARTS AND I COULD HAVE WEENED OUT AND CANCELLED ANYTIME I WANTED.

Secondly, I just priced my exact machine and its now over $400 more than what I paid BEFORE MY DISCOUNT.
The overnight shipping was nice, and yes, it came overnight.

    Inflation and interest.
Well, consideering they didnt charge my card till the day before I got my machine....Wrong again :)
Inflation....Hell, gas was cheaper when I actually received my machine than when I bought her.

    Umm, thats it

After 51 days of waiting, I got my 1520 on 09/05.

I also got more back than I expected from Dell. I was a bit disappointed when I found out that the coupon they promised me was only for $50, but then I got a second one! I got a bluetooth mouse, a laptop sleeve, the Lojack software, and a USB hub.

I'm so glad I waited - I really love my machine! I brought it in to work to get it set up so I can work from home. The IT guy caught sight of it and had to stop by my desk to check it out.

So far, my only real complaint is with Vista - the security features are driving me nuts!

*giggles* Inflation? Come on, Jarrod, I know you're upset but the rate of inflation is not 10% over three months!

Sounds like Dell found a good amount to give to turn these unhappy people back into Dell devotees. Good for Dell. Good for the people who are happy with their machines and their level of compensation.

Well put. Dell would have very little incentive to provide any compensation whatsoever for its mistakes if it didn't turn attitudes around. It's absolutely correct to hold companies accountable for their mistakes, but the flip side of that is that they deserve to be given credit when the redress those wrongs.

On the other hand, folks like Jarrod who were not satisfied with Dell's response are completely justified in feeling that way. Dell won back my business but lost Jarrod's, and I think Jarrod is just as entitled to be livid at Dell as I am to be pleased with them. (Although, given that getting compensation from Dell is like pulling teeth, I wouldn't go any farther than "pleased" in describing my feelings. A Dell fanboy I am not.)
