    ...regarding the m1330, I read a few articles stating that it was plaqued by problems such as cosmetic flaws, no OS installed, multiple replacements, etc, etc. Has these problems subsided since its initial release?

    Like all computers and electronics, industry standards try and have less than 5% bad. That being said, with the number of laptops being sold, you will have a lot that have something wrong with them, and you only ever hear about the bad, not the good! But your chances are really great that everything will be just fine. I wouldn't worry if I were you. Go ahead and make the purchase, everything should be great!
