I'm waiting shipment on my Vostro 1500 with Windows XP Professional. My Dell Dimension Desktop came with an XP CD and Dell Driver CDs so I could rebuild the system in case of a crash.

I've heard reports that the Vostro has everything on the HDD which is bad news in case of a drive crash. What CDs came in the box with your Vostro?

Hey caveman, how do you like the WXGA+ screen? Any grain problems? If buying again would you go WXGA+ or the lower res. WXGA?

For me it was a tossup between that and the WXGA. I went with the WXGA+ to have more screen real estate.

Love mine. I actually have had 2 1400's (sold the first one for $100 profit after realizing I wanted the 8400) both with WXGA+ The first one wasn't bad at all, a little grainy, but not as bad as my dad's 1520. Second one is perfect. No grain what-so-ever.

    Both were SEC4457

I wouldn't go back to WXGA on a 14" Being a photographer, I can use any space I can get for Photoshop. Plus its great having 2 windows open at the same time
