Just curious, does anyone know what is the clock speed Dell uses with the GeForce Go 7800GTX in Inspiron 9400 notebooks?

250/658 are the 7800go (not gtx) stock clocks. You can't compare notebook gpus to desktop gpus because of the cooling of the gpus.

Thanks for the info, ccbr. Do you have a link?

Is the GPU on i9400's a Go 7800 GTX or simply a Go 7800. What the difference, only clock speed?

Hehehe, I'm aware you can't compare notebook gpus to desktop gpus. I was simply quoting the article.

In this thread, ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=36118&page=58), they are in heated discussion about overclocking. The E1705 has the 7800go (not gtx) and the XPS m170 has the 7800gtx go. The difference is the clock speed and that the 7800gtx has more pixel pipelines. A few threads on the fourm talks about it more; however, I can't find them at the moment. Hope this helps.
