Does anyone know how I can find out exactly which LCD brand I got with my e1505. I noticed in the control panel it just lists it as "default monitor." I'm asking because I'm returning my laptop and want to get a better screen. For some reason if you look closely at the monitor it seems like you can see really small dots. Not sure if this is the "shimmer" or something else. This is for the wsxga with the native resolution.

Not sure how, but would also like to know. I had an e1505 that was exchanged due to a bad screen (column of pixels always on) and the replacement seems much brighter and better overall. I wish I could have checked the supplier on both of them.

I do know that dell uses 2-3 different LCD suppliers.
