Hi All,
I'm planning to buy a stock dell e1505 which will just be used for writing code and application development. I'm planning to upgrade the memory to 2GB.
My questions are:
1.) Are both of the memory slots user accessible?
2.) Will the memory at the link below be compatible for e1505?

Thanks in Advance!![]()

i believe it's compatible but it will also operate at 667 so you may consider getting the faster ram. however, with 2 gbs, it may not even be something you would notice, performance wise.

Thanks for the reply drumfu.
I'll be doing application development with a database (SQL Server 2005) and the minimum recommended specs is 1gig of memory. I'm thinking to extend it to 2gig for additional performance.
Does e1505 also support 667 MHZ of RAM?
Is mushkin a good brand?
Thanks... -
I found a Corsair Brand...

I'm thinking of purchasing 2 quantites. Will these be compatible to e1505?
Also, Is the Memory slots of e1505 both user accessible?
Thanks... -
you want DDR2 PC2-5300 200 pin. As long as you have those specs, you're good. some popular makers are crucial, transcend, kingston. prices vary. shop around to find the best one.
you can get to both slots. -
My e1505 is also on the way!
Wondering - for double rate I need two identical sticks, right?
How about DDR2 667 (PC2 5300), will theses work, and will there be an improvement over the DDR2 533??
Why do all DDR2 667 have Cas Latency: 5, isn't that slow?
Will 2x of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145008
be any good?? -

That is a good price. Good brand too. You should be happy with this. The 667Mhz ram has a higher latency, but you won't be able to tell the difference.
What Memory is compatible to e1505?
