Hey, I'm still waiting for my Creditcard/Deal on the I9300 hehe

WHile I'm doing this I'm just researching for parts so I can AVOID Dell for some Aftermarket parts like RAM and HD.

Any how what kinda ram do the 9300 eat? I'm confused is it the DDR2 SO-DIMM(Laptop RAM) or the normal long PC DDR2 RAM?

PS- I know this is a STUPID question-sorry hehe I looked at Dell all they say is SDRAM which is confuesing since this 9300 is JUMBO it seems it can pop on the NORMAL PC DDR2 =P Plus I"M SHOCKED to know Laptop uses DDR2 and barly any desktop does.; I'm asuming since it drains less juice is why hehe
If it's the laptop I'm planing to get this-TWO of these will make a NICE 1GB PC4200

Yep, the website you've got there is the right kind that you'll need for the 9300, pc4200 so-dimm 533mhz ddr2 ram. It's pretty easy to find it cheaper elsewhere than Dell, so just order it like you've got there, way cheaper.

Also check out www.crucial.com and look for pc4200 ddr2 ram, they have some decent deals, and other than that you can always check eBay for deals on the Ram as well.

not sure but thankx to Dell for providing us with such an easy option of changing or replacing ram ... lift the cover for the ram ... unscrew the screw'd if there is any i haven't checked ... take out old ram place in new ram ...

note ram must be of the same amount in both the slots eg.

    512 in one

    and

512 in the other one ...

it has to be of the same amount for best performance ....

DDR2-SODIMM. Bought a 1Gb Transcend stick from NewEgg for $175 or so...works great.
