    HI

I was wondering what type of CPU the Dell Inspiron 1420 is?

I am thinking of putting one into a barebone system or Swapping one for a friend?

I Think that there are 2 diff. types of CPU Sockets (M and P) Am i Correct??
And if yes which does this one use??

    Thanks,
    Jack

I believe the Inspiron 1420 has a Socket P processor.

There are instruction on how to get to/remove the processor at support.dell.com

Socket P is the latest socket and Socket M was for older C2d/CD(T7200 etc)
