This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    a dell desktop vs say an hp desktop = same thing

    look for general computer forums

    the dell forums suck

    anyway while we're on the subject
    are the inspiron desktops good? is there anything gimped about them or are they regular, upgradeable, future proof PCs?

    If you want to game, just build your own computer.
    If you want to save money, just build your own computer.

    Dell's desktops aren't bad, but they aren't priced that great. Unless you need it in a hurry, or just really don't want to build one, dell's aren't too terrible. I'm on a dell right now.

    well to a point, sometimes dell can just be plan cheaper for the dirt cheap bare bones computers, especially when it comes with a monitor

    Yes, but if he is looking for the dell forums i am expecting him to be looking for a more powerful configurations.

    Edit: not to mention he asked if they are future proof and such ;)
