I did not noticed any burning software on my E1505 before I reformatted it. I did not get any CDs with any burning software on it. I did not see any for download on Dell's support website.

Am I entitled to burning software? Should I hit up Dell chat and ask for some?

My E1505 came with the Sonic Digital Media Suite 7...you might want to call Dell and have them send you a copy. It also contained MyDVD 6.1LE.

Please check out the format sticky. All of the information you need related to formatting is located there including information about your discs/software.

You have to request the software discs seperately. Your system comes with Sonic for burning software and Cyberlink PowerDVD for dvd playback. Of course you can install your own burning and dvd playback software, but these are the two that came with your laptop.
