    Hey

Me being a movie buff, we all need codecs to watch movies and also watch the new Blu-ray Movies.

What Codecs are you using for this, I am currently using FFDSHOW with CoreAVC.

Anything better out there for Divx ect...

Not sure if Im breaking rules here or in the wrong thread but could not find a section to put it in.

This goes in the Windows OS and Software Forum :)

And I haven't come across any specific 'codecs for dell'... Have you tried VLC? It pretty much plays everything... *and out of my mind, I remember seeing in the Windows OS forum, that the new WMP coming with Vista has pretty much all the codecs needed* dont know if that is true...

You could search around in the Windows OS forum.. thats the place to be :) Good luck

    Oh ok thanks dude.

WM still nees Divx codecs, and vlc is supposed to be great, but like the looks of the WM interface.

Will stop this post and move, Thanks for the direction.

    VLC +1.

For Blu-Ray make sure your drivers are signed officially.

I use the K-lite codec pack. I also use VLC and Media Player Classic.

I just removed my codecs and opted for the CCCR codec pack.

I think it conflicted with my system as my Missus says she cant get on-line now?

But then again she is not very tech savvy, will look when I get home from work.

Might just use the ffdshow with coreavc and try VLC to see what thats like.

    Thanks guys.
